Color Country, a three-day ride held April 11,12 & 13 near the southern Utah town of Hurricane, lived up to its name, treating riders to trails surrounded by red mountains, snow-capped peaks, and abundant desert foliage. High winds on Day 1 calmed for the second and third days of this pioneer ride ably managed by Marian Parker and her family. Dave Nicholson was head vet.
