The ride was beautiful -- we rode through snow-dusted mountains and passes on day 4 after Monday's high heat. On Day 3 the hardy souls who started endured sideways-blowing winds, white-out conditions in the high elevations -- and did I mention it was cold? We had to borrow extra blankets for the ponies at night. But they loved the sudden burst of winter in June, and it really settled the dust.
